Wondr Nation to become sponsor of Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center
The deal marks the start of a five-year partnership.
Online gaming and entertainment company Wondr Nation is to become the new sponsor of Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center. The sponsorship is to last for five years.
The center is dedicated to preserving and protecting the history and culture of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.
As part of this new sponsorship, Wondr Nation will provide financial support to the center as it looks to enhance the center’s offering, and improve its educational resources and patron experiences.
Using its experience in emerging technologies, Wondr Nation will hope to elevate the center’s exhibitions, research, operations and public programming.
Wondr Nation will implement immersive elements throughout the museum. This will include, virtual reality experiences for select exhibits, building a Wondr Smart lab to bring STEM experiences to the younger visitors of the museum, and adding live streaming features to engage with visitors online as well as in person.
Last year, Wondr Nation launched its services with Foxwoods for its rebranded FoxPlay Social Casino. FoxPlay Social Casino is a rebranding of FoxwoodsOnline, and was given new features and new user experiences through the partnership with Wondr Nation and its partner Ruby Seven Studios.
Wondr Nation plans to launch a number of community-focused programmes for both adults and youth, to provide education on cultural topics and extend access to key resources.
The first program as part of this new partnership will be the free Artisan Entrepreneur Symposium on Tuesday May 23.
