Circa Sports, a sportsbook available in Nevada, Colorado and Iowa, has announced its fifth year of Circa Million and Circa Survivor Pro Football contests. Owned by Las Vegas developer, Derek Stevens, Circa Sports is known for high betting limits and the world’s largest sportsbook, located at Circa Resort & Casino.
Circa Resort & Casino won Property of the Year at the 2022 Global Gaming Awards in Las Vegas. In September of last year, Circa Sports also announced the launch of its sixth sportsbook within Legends Bay Casino in Nevada.
Stevens features in Circa Sports’ teaser videos for the Circa Million V, saying “Get ready for more millions – guaranteed.” Stevens also delivers a contest tagline in the video of “Enter in Nevada, play from anywhere.”
Entries for those wishing to participate outside the Silver State are able to register a proxy to submit picks for them, from within Nevada.
During the 2022-2023 football season, Circa Million IV delivered $6m in guaranteed total prizes. The previous contest’s $1m first-place prize also saw the winner awarded with a handmade Circa Sports jacket.
A total of $3.65m was also spread between contestants placing 2nd -100th in the contest, with $300,000 worth of prizes awarded every four to five weeks, quarterly. A last-place booby prize winner was also rewarded with $100,000.
The Circa Survivor contest, which consisted of up to 20 legs – one for each week of football season, and two special weeks – also payed out $6.1m for its last entry standing. During the Survivor format, players chose a different team to win each week, but cannot pick the same team twice at any point during the season.
A contest entry fee of $1,000 is part of playing either Circa million or Circa Survivor, and entrants may purchase a maximum of three entries per person. The contests will "kick off" in May 2023.
