The operator, a joint venture between MGM Resorts and GVC Holdings, has signed a partnership with the National Football League (NFL) team, that will focus on fan engagements, including acting as the presenting sponsor of Lions Bingo and Lions Perks.
The deal also focuses on team broadcast programming, digital marketing assets, and in-stadium promotions, and is an extension of the existing partnership between MGM Resorts and the Lions, which includes the MGM Grand Detroit Tunnel Club at the team’s Ford Field stadium.
BetMGM will become a partner of the free to play Lions Bingo game, where fans are able to win cash prizes and paid for trips to MGM Resorts properties, by making accurate game scenario sequence predictions.
Sports betting is now legal in Michigan, the home state of the Detroit Lions, after it was signed into law last December.
BetMGM chief marketing officer Matt Prevost, said: “When we first opened the BetMGM Sports Lounge at MGM Grand Detroit in March, we hoped to develop deep relationships with the state’s top teams.
“We are honored to be the first sports betting partner of the Lions and to offer their fans access to a variety of best-in-class promotions and perks only available on BetMGM.”
