Bryant comes from roles as CFO, COO, President and CEO at Kellogg, and succeeds current Chair Gary McGann.

John Bryant has been appointed to the Board of Flutter Entertainment as a Non-Executive Director, effective from the Company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). He will also become Chair from September 1.

Flutter’s Board currently comprises 14 members, including Gary McGann, who will step down from his role as Chair after serving nine years as a Non-Executive Director.

Bryant commented, “I am very excited to succeed Gary as Chair. I look forward to working with Peter and the management team to grow the business, and to take advantage of the many exciting opportunities that lie ahead."

McGann commented, “We are delighted to announce John's appointment as Chair. John has had a stellar career in Kellogg Company. He brings with him an enormous wealth of leadership experience in strategic, financial and operational matters.”

Bryant comes from a Non-Executive Director position at the Ball Corporation. He joined Kellogg Company in 1998, where he served as: CFO; President, North America; President, International; COO; as well as CEO from 2011 to 2017. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Macy’s, though will no longer serve in this role past May.

Bryant will be appointed to the Nomination and Renumeration Committees, and become Chair of the Nomination Committee on 1 September 2023.

McGann said of his own stepping down, “It has been a privilege to serve as Chair of this very special Company and I wish John every success as he joins the Board at this pivotal point in Flutter’s evolution. I will use my remaining period as Chair to ensure a seamless transition to John.”

Flutter CEO, Peter Jackson thanked Gary for his contributions saying, “He has helped steer the business through an exceptional period of growth.” Jackson also welcomed Bryant, adding, “His experience will be invaluable as Flutter continues to execute its growth strategy.”

This appointment should pave the way for Flutter's US listing, which is expected to be announced imminently.
