Titans of US iGaming Set to Converge for AASBS 2023

April 24, 2023

The USA sports betting industry continues to break records with gross game revenue reaching a new pinnacle of $7.5 billion in 2022. As reported by The American Gaming Association (AGA), this marks a staggering 75% increase from the previous year, highlighting the tremendous growth of the industry.

New Jersey's successful legalisation of sports betting in 2012 has created a ripple effect that is slowly but surely spreading throughout the United States. Despite this, other states have yet to follow in New Jersey’s footsteps, leaving massive untapped potential on the table. H2 Gambling Capital has forecasted significant gains in the future, with a projected GGR of $23.2 billion by 2030. This sky-high revenue growth rate is a testament to the rising popularity of sports betting in the country.

As the USA debates the legalisation of sports betting, California faces challenges in getting the go-ahead. However, with a passionate audience eagerly waiting to place legal bets and lucrative opportunities for stakeholders, California is expected to soon join the growing number of states legalising sports betting.
