The sportsbook's focus on March Madness, with a competition and live events, saw its active users increase 6.5 times.

Tipico Sportsbook has announced an increase in the speed of its withdrawal process from an average of eight hours to four during the March Madness NCAA tournament. Tipico also ran an in-app competition, during which basketball bettors could accrue points based on a betslip’s winning odds.

The international sportsbook has now seen a 6.5x increase in active users, a 2.9x increase in handle and a 7.2x increase in processed betslips, when compared to its March Madness figures in 2022.

Andre Zammit, VP of Sportsbook, Tipico US, said, “The flurry of activity we’ve seen highlights the shift in consumer betting behavior that has made it increasingly crucial to exceed expectations and expedite the withdrawal process.

“The 2023 March Madness tournament put our capabilities to the test, and we can now confidently say that Tipico has one of the fastest withdrawal speeds in the industry.”

Tipico’s competition winner won a full year of bet credits: Clay C placed over 110 winning betslips with a total of $10,000 in handle at nearly 3 to 1 odds.

Parlay bets may have also been a boost to Tipico’s competition. Throughout the tournament, Tipico bettors placed 25% of their handle on parlays, up 10% from March Madness 2022.

Tipico also hosted several live events in Ohio with both local and national partners, including a Saint Patrick’s Day 2023 Party at Flannagan’s and an all-day March Madness party at Huntington Field Club, home of Major League Soccer’s Columbus Crew.

Additionally, the company has launched the “Better Bettor” campaign, to teach bettors about both responsibility and strategies within the sports betting world.
