Giannis Antetokounmpo to become Betano's first global brand ambassador

The NBA MVP and champion will partner with the operator for branded content, events and community support.

Milwaukee Bucks NBA player, Giannis Antetokounmpo, widely known as “The Greek Freak,” has partnered with Betano, an online casino available in parts of Canada, South America and Europe. Kaizen Gaming, Betano’s parent tech company, also hails from Greece.

Kaizen Gaming began as an Athens start-up by Founder and CEO George Daskalakis. In less than 10 years, the company has become internationally active, serving 12 countries.

Daskalakis said, "We could not have asked for a better global brand ambassador for our brand Betano. Besides being the best active basketball player in the world, Giannis embodies all that we value at Kaizen Gaming, and that is hard work, commitment, continuous improvement and above all, humility.

“While our fields might be different, we see in him all that we stand for and aim our brand and our company to be, a top international player with both feet on the ground.”

Kaizen Gaming brands, Betano and Stoiximan, are active within other areas of the sporting world as well. Both sponsor some of Europe's and Latin America's soccer teams, including: FC Porto, Sporting CP and SL Benfica in Portugal; Oympiacos FC, Panathinaikos FC and PAOK FC in Greece; and Atletico Mineiro and Fluminense in Brazil.

Betano also became a European regional sponsor for the FIFA World Cup when Kaizen Gaming signed a deal with FIFA for Qatar 2022.

Antetokounmpo said of becoming a brand ambassador, "I take my endorsements seriously and always aim for partnerships that mean something to me.
