The resort and casino's live performance venue has experienced a multimillion-dollar upgrade along with its name change.

Bakkt Theater will officially debut on March 24, as Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino ushers in the new name of its live entertainment venue. The venue will continue to feature concerts, headline artist residencies, tours and comedy. Previously known as Zappos Theater, the space has received multimillion-dollar renovations as part of its rebrand.

A deal between Caesars Entertainment and Bakkt Holdings has not only changed the name of this Las Vegas Strip venue, but also created new reward options for players at its casino. Pending regulatory approval, Caesars Rewards members will also be able to redeem their Caesars Rewards Credits through Bakkt Crypto Rewards.

Jason Gastwirth, President of Entertainment for Caesars Entertainment, said, "As we begin this new chapter as Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, we remain committed to creating an unforgettable live entertainment environment for our guests along with the best experience we can provide the artists who grace our stage.”

The theater’s first show will be "Miranda Lambert: Velvet Rodeo The Las Vegas Residency" beginning March 24. The venue’s booking partner, Live Nation, has co-produced shows with Caesars entertainment since 2013. Other performers who have done residencies at the theater include: Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani and the Backstreet Boys, with limited engagements by artists such as Def Leppard and Van Morrison.

Mark Elliot, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer at Bakkt, said, "We're excited for the unveiling of this physical representation of our relationship with Caesars in Las Vegas later this month.

"The Bakkt Theater is one of the many ways our brand will be visible to Caesars customers as we work together to offer new cryptocurrency options, and we are proud that the Bakkt name will be attached to a premier live entertainment destination for millions of fans moving forward."
