Scientific Games has developed a new app for the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery. The mobile offering is designed to add player convenience, with notable features including new mobile navigation, an updated design and biometric sign-in for greater security.
The app is currently available for free both on the Google Play Store as well as the Apple App Store.
Speaking more on the reason behind the app’s development, Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Gaming Director Mike Smith had this to say: “The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery wanted to offer our players a modern experience and convenient, easy connection to our games and loyalty club from their mobile device.”
One of the app’s main features is its ability to verify tickets and create digital payslips without having to visit a physical location.
Players can also save custom data such as their play options and lucky numbers. From there, players are given a QR code which they can scan at a participating retailer to purchase a game.
Arkansas Scholarship Lottery notes that players with non-winning tickets have the option to enter these tickets into Play It Again drawings as well as other second-chance offerings from the company.
Scientific Games and the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery first partnered in 2009, at the time launching the country’s first lottery loyalty program. Since then, the program has seen ticket entries in excess of 101.5 million.
Along with its loyalty program and app, the company also offers instant game management through its partnership with Scientific Games.
Scientific Games has provided technologies, games and services to 130 lotteries in 50 countries.
