To encourage safer play during Problem Gambling Awareness Month, FanDuel will donate $100,000 to the NCPG and also support the ICRG.

FanDuel has announced donations and initiatives intended to enhance what it’s calling a culture of responsible gaming during Problem Gambling Awareness Month.

To encourage safer play, FanDuel will donate $100,000 to the NCPG, or National Council on Problem Gambling. This donation is set to help the organization’s Agility Grants program, which funds problem gambling prevention nonprofit organizations nationwide.

FanDuel will also provide support for the International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG), which funds research to identify and minimize gambling harm as well as enhance existing responsible gaming programs.

Craig Carton and Amanda Serrano, FanDuel Responsible Gaming Ambassadors, will promote safer play through video content on their respective social media channels.

Carton has initiated the Responsible Gaming College Tour, which was made to raise awareness and educate young adults across the northeast United States.

In the past, FanDuel has worked with team partners and professional leagues, such as the NBA and NFL Foundation, to share responsible gaming messaging in support of its mission and encourage fans to gamble responsibly.

Along with its responsible gaming messaging, FanDuel has also implemented what it’s calling Play Well tools designed to mitigate risk. Some of these tools include deposit and wager limits within a set time period as well as a time-out tool.

FanDuel has set a personal goal that by 2030, 75% of its global active online customers will use at least one of its Play Well tools. FanDuel currently operates in all 50 states and reports approximately 17 million customers worldwide.
