Rush Street Interactive to discuss plans to go public via dMY Technology

In late July, rumors first surfaced of Rush Street Interactive going public.

Rush Street Interactive and dMY Technology will host a joint conference call later this week to discuss a proposed business combination.

In July, it was suggested Rush Street Interactive may be looking to become a public corporation.

The operator has now confirmed those rumours, announcing a joint conference call that will take place alongisde dMY Technology – a publicly traded special purpose acquisition company (SPAC).

The SPAC has been impressed by Rush Street Interactive's online gaming performance, rather than its sportsbook potential.

DraftKings used a SPAC to complete its deal to go public earlier this year; the operator acquired sports betting supplier SBTech as part of the same deal.

Niccolo de Masi, co-founder and CEO of dMY, said: “We are very excited by the opportunity to partner with RSI which is a leader in online casino revenue, a segment that has the potential to be a bigger market than sports betting."
