Sportsbook operator PointsBet has entered a multi-year partnership with the Indiana Pacers.

The Pacers become the latest NBA franchise to partner with a sports betting operator or brand, joining the Philadelphia 76ers who inked a deal with Fox Bet in November 2019.

PointsBet signage will be featured throughout Indiana’s home arena, the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

PointsBet launched its mobile sports betting app in Indiana in March.

“Indiana represents a massive opportunity for PointsBet, and we will take a heavily localized approach to ensure we are delivering the best overall customer experience Indiana sports fans and bettors are seeking,” said Johnny Aitken, PointsBet USA CEO. “We are very excited to bolster our presence within the Hoosier State and surrounding areas, as well as to Indiana Pacers fans around the globe via this unique partnership, working collaboratively with a first-class organization to enhance the NBA fan experience and excitement created within venue or watching at home."

Indiana sports betting revenue brought in a peak of $12.2m in January with handle reaching a high of $187m in February.

Revenue hovered around $3m for the months of May and June, but an uptick is expected for July, when Major League Baseball returned.

The Pacers, who are currently competing in the NBA’s Orlando bubble, have already clinched a spot in the league’s playoffs.
