Funds raised will go to the United Breast Cancer Foundation.

Americas Cardroom (ACR) and the United Breast Cancer Foundation will host a special charity tournament during its International Women’s Day tournament event on March 8. Funds raised during the competition will be donated to the foundation.

Players can compete for a $10k guaranteed prize pool and can enter the contest for a $55 entry fee. ACR said it will credit all participants with a $55 tourney ticket that can be used in another $55 tournament as an incentive to boost player entries.

The company said that “the prize pool will be paid out to players with ACR matching that total and donating it to United Breast Cancer Foundation.”

ACR Team Pros Katie Lindsay and Ebony Kenney, as well as influencers Nikki Lomo and Caitlin Comesky will engage in a live chat through the ACR Twitch channel during the tournament. They will discuss breast cancer awareness and the importance of conducting breast self-exams at home.

ACR has had success with hosting charitable events in the past. The group raised more than $15,000 during a charity tournament it held last October.

America’s Cardroom Head of Sponsorship Mel Moser said: “ACR is passionate about its players and their communities, so we are more than happy to run this tournament and help raise further funds for United Breast Cancer Foundation.

“The live stream taking place alongside the tournament will only add to the fun. I can’t wait!”

ACR Team Pro Ebony Kenney commented: “Last year’s International Women’s Day event on ACR was an absolute hit and I am so excited to be a part of it again.

“Playing poker with some badass friends of mine while also supporting a good cause?! Yes, sign me up!! I am honored to be a part of the positive and intentional movement happening for women in poker.”
