Players around the state will be able to place bets on March 10.

DraftKings will release its online sportsbook in Massachusetts later this week, subject to regulatory approval and licensing receipt. Massachusetts players will be able place wagers through the online sportsbook on March 10.

Massachusetts is the latest state to open a regulated sports betting market for its residents. State Governor Charlie Baker signed a bill to legalize online sports betting last summer.

In connection with the launch, DraftKings said it will offer its customers access to same-game parlays, player props, special odds and boost selections, as well as exclusive promotions.

Massachusetts joins 20 other US states that offer players wagering opportunities through DraftKings’ sportsbook.

DraftKings Co-Founder, CEO and Chairman Jason Robins described the release as a major achieve and discussed the company’s progress during the past decade.

He commented: “It was just over 10 years ago when we launched DraftKings from a spare bedroom in Watertown, and now, we are proud to have the opportunity to deliver a safe and legal sports betting product to millions of diehard sports fans across Massachusetts.

“This launch will mark a major milestone for our company, and we’re proud to become the hometown sportsbook for customers in the Commonwealth.”

Following the launch, DraftKings said it will host a series of activation around the Boston area, along with watch parties and a ceremonial bet celebration that Robins is scheduled to attend.

DraftKings has gained ground within the digital frontier and ended its fiscal year for 2022 on a strong foundation, according to its latest financial report. The operator has grown its online footprint to reach 21 US states with its mobile sports betting products and is live with iGaming in five.
