MGM Resorts and BetMGM extend GameSense contract or another five years
The BCLC has been working with MGM Resorts since 2017.
MGM Resorts International and BetMGM have extended their contract with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) and its GameSense responsible gaming program for another five years. The extension will continue to focus on encouraging players to play responsibly by engaging positive, supportive and transparent conversations.
March is Problem Gambling Awareness Month. MGM Resorts and BetMGM recently joined National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) and will continue to encourage safe gaming habits during the month of March.
MGM Resorts International CEO and President Bill Hornbuckle said: “Through our partnership and collaboration with BCLC, we’re proud to set the standard and do our part to ensure that gaming is an enjoyable experience.
“As the industry expands, we will continue to provide players tools and capabilities that empower everyone to play responsibly.”
BetMGM created its safe gambling messaging in partnership with responsible gaming program Gamesense in 2017, which the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) developed and licensed to BetMGM and its parent company, MGM Resorts International.
MGM Resorts CEO & President Bill Hornbuckle noted the importance of encouraging players to make safe gambling choices and said the company supports BetMGM’s efforts.
MGM and the BCLC will share their ongoing commitment to responsible gambling during the New Horizons in Responsible Gambling Conference in Vancouver, British Columbia. The three-day event will run from March 6 to March 8.
BCLC President & CEO Pat Davis commented: “We’re proud to continue providing MGM Resorts with the tools to offer the GameSense experience at its properties and online at BetMGM.
