The Full House Resorts casino will host a VIP reception before opening at 8PM.

Full House Resorts has announced that it intends to open its newest gaming destination – The Temporary, by American Place –  later today.

The opening festivities will kick off with a private VIP reception at 5PM (CST), and three hours after this event, at 8PM, Chicagoland’s newest gaming destination will open its doors to the public.

The Temporary is located in Lake County, Illinois and serves as the only casino operating in the entire county. It is conveniently located approximately 30 minutes north of O’Hare International Airport, the main airport servicing Chicago, Illinois.

Full House Resorts intends for the new destination to have a calming, nature-inspired interior design. The aesthetic will draw inspiration from the theme of ‘a day at the lake,’ with lush greenery and boat paddles situated just above the 1,000 slot machines and 50 table games at the casino.

The Temporary will be home to ‘the Canoe Bar,’ which will be located centrally in the casino and allow patrons to enjoy signature cocktails underneath a unique chandelier, fashioned from old canoes. There will also be a restaurant named the ‘L’Américain,’ which will fuse American, Asian-Azteca, Asian and Latin cuisine.

Full House Resorts CEO and President Daniel R. Lee commented: “We thank the Illinois Gaming Board and its staff for their assistance throughout The Temporary’s construction and preparation.

“I also want to thank our own team of approximately 500 founding employees, who have worked diligently to prepare us for this exciting moment. We are eager to welcome Chicagoland residents to The Temporary beginning on February 17.”
