Continent 8 Technologies is set to become the first cloud-based hosting platform for iGaming in the state of Ohio. The company will be offering its iGaming Cloud product to The Buckeye State, a service that is already operational in several states, including New Jersey, Pennsylvania and, most recently, Michigan.
Continent 8 has worked closely with state regulators across the fast-growing North American market to ensure that its full suite of solutions is fully compliant. This move is part of its strategy to be the ‘first-to-market’ in newly opened jurisdictions.
Its iGaming Cloud product is marketed as a scalable and resilient infrastructure platform that allows customers to host virtual servers, containers, computers, storage and network edge services.
It has been licensed by the Ohio Casino Control Commission (OCCC) for all licensed Ohioan operators and suppliers to use with immediate effect. The solution will add a significant component to Continent 8’s existing services in Ohio, which are comprised of data centers, network connectivity and cyber security solutions.
Continent 8 Innovation Director David Brace commented: “We are proud to be the first service provider to offer an iGaming Public Cloud solution in the state of Ohio.
"In terms of market entry, our iGaming Cloud offers businesses the quickest and simplest route into a new state. This is true both for new entrants, as well as licensees who utilize the Continent 8 iGaming Cloud in other jurisdictions.
“The flexibility and scalability of the iGaming Cloud provides a range of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery options for those already live in the state and looking to protect their platforms.”
Continent 8 is currently live in 25 US states with additional sites set to launch in the coming months in locations such as Minnesota, Georgia and Nevada.
