The CDP noted that the company significantly improved its score when compared to its 2021 rating.

Supplier IGT has been recognized by CDP, an international environmental non-profit organization, as a company committed to combatting climate change. The company received a ‘B’ score from the organization, reflecting “improved environmental disclosure and performance.”

Compared to other global gaming companies, IGT’s score was “better than average,” according to CDP’s ranking. CDP noted that the company excelled in several key categories.

IGT SVP, Marketing, Communications and Sustainability Wendy Montgomery spoke about the group’s continuing efforts to improve environmental conditions.

She commented: "Over the years, IGT has made great strides to significantly increase our environmental efforts, understanding that it is our responsibility to develop action plans to reduce our carbon footprint.

"IGT's commitment to climate change extends to our customers and their sustainable operations. This assessment from CDP assures all stakeholders that we continue to advance the company through our steadfast commitment to sustainability."

CDP is not the only group to acknowledge IGT’s environmental preservation efforts. IGT also recently published its environmental, social and governance (ESG) score from Moody's ESG Solutions. The organization gave IGT an “advanced” ESG score, which the company noted is an improvement when compared to last year’s rating.

The current score places IGT in the top 4% of all businesses Moody’s evaluates.

Moody’s ESG Solutions provides climate insights and ESG ratings for businesses around the globe and offers assessments for more than 4,800 companies. The organization is an affiliate of Moody’s Corporation. In addition to sustainability ratings, the company provides finance certifier services that help other groups get closer to their sustainability goals.
