It will build a 1,250-square-foot retail sportsbook at the Virgin Hotel Las Vegas.

Betfred USA Sports has gained an operating license from the Nevada Gaming Control Board, allowing it to open a sportsbook in the Silver State. The operator plans to build a 1,250-square-foot boutique retail sportsbook at the Virgin Hotel Las Vegas, a Hilton-owned venue.

The partnership between Betfred USA and Mohegan Sun was facilitated by SCCG Management, spearheaded by its Founder and CEO Stephen Crystal.

Following the announcement of the licensing action, Crystal said: “The location shows what we offer for a retail setting inside a casino, and everyone wants to come to Las Vegas.”

SCCG acts as the business development arm of Betfred USA and expedited the deal, which has made Nevada the 10th state in which Betfred operates. It joins Arizona, Colorado, Louisiana, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Washington, Virginia, Maryland and Ohio.

The sports betting operator has plans to pursue further business developments in other states such as Alabama, California, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Oregon.

Betfred USA has been active in opening retail sportsbooks recently. It partnered with the Washington-based Lumni Nation to launch one at the Silver Reef Casino Resort last August.

SCCG is a proactive partner to many casino companies, operators and sporting teams. It manages sponsorship agreements with the Cincinnati Bengals, Colorado Rockies, Denver Broncos and Iowa Cubs.

Furthermore, it has a business development partnership with the Northwoods Baseball League and the American Cornhole League; consults with Major Arena Soccer League; a partnership with Hendrick Motorsports; and has a data distribution and co-development strategic partnership with America Ultimate Disc League.
