Intralot seals multi-year MLB deal

Intralot has signed a multi-year agreement with Major League Baseball (MLB) which will see the company become authorized gaming operator of the league.

Under the terms of the agreement, Intralot will benefit from access to MLB’s official data, marks and logos for its wagering platforms.

The operator said the new partnership will enhance player experience on both retail and online platforms.

Commenting on the deal, Byron Boothe, CEO of Intralot Inc., Intralot’s US subsidiary, said: “We are excited to work with MLB to bring our players and MLB fans an enhanced sports betting experience.

“The 2020 season will be one to remember for years to come, and at Intralot Inc., we are ready to bring our players the best sports betting platform by incorporating this new and thrilling partnership.”

MLB has signed similar partnerships with a number of sports betting operators since PASPA was overturned in 2018. The baseball league has previously partnered with MGM Resorts, DraftKings and FanDuel.

MLB kick-started again this Thursday after a period of COVID-19 forced cancellations. The league will go ahead behind closed doors for the rest of the season as state officials look to limit the spread of the virus.
