The sixth Seminole Gaming venue will be the first to be built on the Tribe’s Brighton reservation.

The Seminole Tribe of Florida and Seminole Gaming has broken ground on the Seminole Casino Hotel Brighton, a combined casino-hotel resort complex, that will be built on the Brighton Seminole Reservation.

The reservation is located northwest of Lake Okeechobee and is projected to open in late 2024. The new casino will replace the existing Seminole Brighton Casino which opened in 1980 and is only three miles from the site of the new project. It is one of six casino complexes operated by Seminole Gaming on behalf of the Seminole Tribe of Florida.

Seminole Tribe Chairman Marcellus Osceola Jr. commented: “Breaking ground for the new Seminole Casino Hotel Brighton represents a major economic step forward for the Seminole Tribe of Florida and the entire Lake Okeechobee region.

“We’re excited to bring a new level of gaming, dining and entertainment to the area, and we look forward to welcoming our current and future guests.”

The new Seminole Casino Hotel Brighton will include a casino with a total of 38,000 square feet, with space allocated for 623 slot machines and 18 tables for blackjack, baccarat and other house card games.

The venue will be the first to be built on the Brighton Seminole Reservation and will offer 100 guest rooms in four stories, with 72,000 square feet of space in total. Guest rooms are set to include a mix of rooms with one king bed and two queen beds, plus three suites and a fitness center.

Furthermore, Seminole Gaming’s new casino will offer an outdoor stage, a 1,500-square-foot pool, a bowling alley and a 24-hour restaurant with 124 seats. There will also be an indoor event space with 400 seats designed for banquet events and bingo games.
