The Bok Homa Casino celebrates its 12th anniversary

Choctaw Tribal Council members were in attendance along with other local celebrities.

The Bok Homa Casino, Mississippi, held its 12th-anniversary celebration this Tuesday with a large celebration which was attended by Choctaw Tribal Chief Cyrus Ben, accompanied by other Tribal council members.

The casino, located at 1 Choctaw Road in Heidelberg, opened in December 2010. Its grand inauguration was attended by ‘Mr. Las Vegas’ – Wayne Newton – who was once described by the Washington Post as ‘America's number one night club act.’

Many illustrious guests attended the celebration, including 2022-2023 Choctaw Indian Princess Cadence Raine Nickey. Tribal Council members Mike Briscoe and Demando Mingo were also in attendance along with Bok Homa Casino and Pearl River Resort officials.

A special guest appearance was made by Seymour the Eagle, the University of Southern Mississippi's mascot.

During the celebrations, plans for the expansion of Bok Homa Casino were announced. Afterward, guests were invited to receive complimentary t-shirts, cake, gifts and food.

The Choctaw Indian Nation extended its congratulations to Bok Homa for its milestone 12th year of operations and thanked all staff members at the casino. Bok Homa Casino is one of 3 properties owned by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians and Choctaw Resort Development Enterprise.

The name Bok Homa means ‘red creek’ in the Choctaw dialect. It is part of Pearl River Resort, a family-style destination that boasts over 2,400 slot machines, 58 table games, 1,074 hotel rooms, European spa facilities, excellent dining options, shopping and live entertainment.

Bok Homa Casino also offers championship golf on two courses at Dancing Rabbit Golf Club and the Geyser Falls Water Theme Park.
