XLMedia has agreed to a new partnership with Newsweek, a digital gambling news platform, which will allow it to provide exclusive sports betting media content to the weekly magazine.
Newsweek has over 50 million US readers per month and these customers will now have access to XLMedia’s Sports Betting Dime subsidiary.
The agreement states that XLMedia will create sports betting content and manage deals with regulated sportsbook operators, on behalf of Newsweek.
XLMedia Director of Partnership Cody Warwick commented: “Our partnership with Newsweek allows our team to tap into their massive national footprint as the legalization of sports betting spreads throughout the US, which is valuable for both of our businesses.
“We very much look forward to working with the Newsweek team and adding our insightful betting content to their premium digital property.”
Newsweek VP of Strategy Nalin Kaul reflected Warwick's enthusiasm regarding this burgeoning partnership. He said: “As sports betting continues to pick up steam, a deal like this – with one of the leading media companies in the betting space – helps us capture a new opportunity in content commerce.
“XLMedia has a superior ability to monetize highly engaged audiences via partnerships, and we’re very excited to enter into one with them.”
XLMedia rebranded in September, pivoting to match the company’s culture and its expansion into the US. Over the last three years, it has seen 68% of its revenue generated by the US sports betting vertical.
In the past two years, XLMedia acquired US-based brands including CBWG, Sports Betting Dime and Saturday Football Inc.
The company also entered a media partnership agreement with Cleveland.com to help promote its growth throughout the nation.
