Online social betting platform BettorEdge has teamed up with Give16, a charitable organization created by NHL player James Zucker and his wife Carly. The company will add Give16 to its list of partner charities that receive substantial donations.
Players within the BettorEdge online community are able to place in-house bets free of charge. Players have the option of donating saved fees to various charities that partner with BettorEdge. Through the partnership, the Minneapolis-based company has donated more than $10,000 to partner charities.
Zucker and his wife founded Give16 in 2016 and have since raised funds to create spaces within hospitals where children can “escape from their hospital rooms.” The Zucker Family Suite and Broadcast Studio offers children a place to play interactive games, host TV and radio shows and reserve the suite on game days.
The Zuckers started the organization after a moving hospital visit with Tucker Helstrom, an 8-year-old patient.
BettorEdge Co-Founder James Seils commended the Zucker family for its contribution to local communities and said the company is pleased to partner with Give16.
He commented: "Jason and Carly's impact on the community and many local charities has been inspirational to see. We're excited to be able to partner with them as we continue to innovate in the media and sports gaming space.
“Our community of users has been instrumental in the past at supporting charities and hockey. I'm excited to see their support for Give16."
Zucker commented: "We are excited to partner with BettorEdge. They have a very innovative product that brings together media and sports gaming.
“They're founded in Minnesota, and it's been awesome to see how they've been able to grow their business while doing good in the community."
