Kentucky 5 will have its first drawing take place on November 21.

Kentucky 5, an exclusive game launched by the Kentucky Lottery, will have its first drawing take place on November 21. This daily jackpot game is only available for sale in the Bluegrass State and is similar to a lotto-style game.

Players will try to match numbers drawn by the lottery and will start with a $40,000 purse. If the purse is not won, a minimum of $5,000 each day will roll into the next until a winner is declared.

This jackpot game is also only winnable in Kentucky and isn't shared with other states like the Powerball and Mega Millions jackpot.

Kentucky 5 is also expected to be launched online, allowing players to pay $1 and participate. Currently, players can purchase tickets at any of the Kentucky Lottery's retailers.

The game works with players selecting five numbers between one and 39. To win, players will have to match all five of their numbers to the five numbers drawn by the lottery.

An additional way to win is with players matching three numbers to win $5 or matching four numbers to win $250. Players can also win $2 by matching just two numbers.

The lottery game also allows players to multiply their winnings with the "Xtra" feature. This grants the user the ability to pay an additional dollar to increase their prize amount (excluding the jackpot).

Winnings for matching three or four numbers can be multiplied from two to five times. Drawings will take place every night at the same time at 11PM ET.
