Erica Okerberg of Greenberg Traurig, LLP was a 2020 honoree for the American Bar Association’s (ABA) “On The Rise – Top 40 Young Lawyers.” According to the ABA, the On The Rise award series recognizes “young lawyer members who exemplify a broad range of high achievement, innovation, vision, leadership, and legal and community service.”

“Erica joined us right out of law school and has developed into one of our finest senior associates. Greenberg Traurig is committed to developing great lawyers, and Erica is an example of this as she has become an expert in gaming law.  We are incredibly proud of Erica’s achievements and that the ABA has recognized her on a national level—a recognition that she truly deserves and that speaks volumes of her determination to be the very best for her clients,” said Michael Bonner, Managing Shareholder of the Las Vegas Office.

Okerberg, an associate in the Las Vegas office, focuses her practice on gaming law, including licensing and regulatory work; and promotional law, including sweepstakes and social gaming. Her experience includes: assisting U.S. and international clients with regulatory and operational matters; representing clients in connection with gaming applications; researching and analyzing a variety of gaming-related topics – from state and federal sports wagering requirements to the application of anti-gambling laws; preparing materials for and assisting with sweepstakes, contests, and other promotional offers; and counseling clients regarding social gaming and skill games. Outside of her practice, among other things, Okerberg is on the Executive Committee of the Gaming Law Section of the Nevada Bar, serves as co-editor of the Nevada Gaming Lawyer, and is the editor of the GLS eNewsletter.
