The news has been confirmed by Global Gaming Expo co-owners, Reed Exhibitions and the American Gaming Association.
Korbi Carrison, event director, Global Gaming Expo at Reed Exhibitions, and Meredith Pallante, senior director of events at the American Gaming Association confirmed the date in an open letter to the gaming community.
The letter described efforts to “deliver a safe and productive show” ensuring that the event is “in line with up-to-date guidance from public health officials.”
Organizers have introduced a number of measures to ensure the safety of participants, including physical distancing, health screening and increased cleaning.
The gaming summit, which has been running for 20 years, will become the first post-COVID-19 gaming event in 2020.
As one of the most important events on the gaming calendar, the event will see industry minds from across the globe head to Las Vegas to keep up to date on the latest trends in gaming and meet their peers.
G2E 2020 will also see the return of the Global Gaming Awards which will be back for the seventh year in a row.
The awards will kick off the show on the Monday, celebrating some of the most impressive achievements within the gaming sector over the past year.
