Circa Resort & Casino, currently under construction in downtown Las Vegas, will open the first five levels of its casino earlier than scheduled on 28 October, 2020. CEO and owner Derek Steven announced this in a video posted to Twitter earlier this week. Stevens said, “You can circle the date.”
It will be the first new gaming resort in downtown Las Vegas in over 30 years.
The first five levels will include the two-story casino with 1,350 slot machines, 49 table games and its three-story, stadium-style sportsbook that Circa is touting as the “largest sports betting experience in the world” aiming to surpass Westgate’s SuperBook.
According to Circa, a 78-million pixel high-definition screen will be the centerpiece and viewable throughout the casino. The venue will have a 1,000-person viewing capacity and include 350 stadium seats.
Stevens, who also owns two other properties on the Fremont Street Experience (The D Las Vegas and Golden Gate Hotel & Casino) said Circa Las Vegas will open its hotel no later than December 28.
Derek Stevens also gave away 2,000 one-way flights to Las Vegas last month as part of his “Keep America Flying” campaign. This plan was to get tourists back to Las Vegas after casinos and other businesses deemed non-essential closed in March to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
