Day Two of SPiCE Philippines 2022 got underway with the usual coffee and chat amongst attendees before the Chairperson, Carmina Agnes Racaza, the General Manager of Nooyoo Digital, kicked off official proceedings with her opening remarks.
The topic of the day’s first panel discussion focused on overcoming the current technical challenges of operating and capitalising on opportunities in Southeast Asia. Bhavesh Parthi, Managing Director of Asia OppaCo Ltd moderated the chat.
Moshe (Mosh) Leder, Information Security Advocate, Industry Sales Specialist at Imperva, then delivered a presentation that examined keeping up with DDoS attack trends in the gaming sector before Crystal Nadal, COO at Aura Gaming, moderated the day’s second panel discussion, which was about Women who are leading the gaming industry and how to further expand inclusion.
A networking lunch break preceded Day two’s final panel discussion and presentation. The panel discussion, moderated by Joe Pisano, Founder and CEO of Jade Group of Companies, centered on the future of eSports and what to expect in the coming years. CEO of DeFix Akili Polee’s presentation was about a blockchain-based approach to change the iGaming industry.
Chairperson Carmina Agnes Racaza brought Day Two to a close with her closing remarks and summed up the day’s proceedings by adding: "What we do today will affect the future of the sports betting industry."
Day Three concluded the event with the networking "SPiCE Brunch" and attendees were treated to some local talent and traditional dancing over delicious foods and refreshing mimosas.
