The Nevada Gaming Control Board has updated its COVID-19 safety requirements that will force casino players to wear face masks at table games that have no barriers.
The control board released a list of amended health and safety policies for gaming operators to adhere to, based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Any patron at a Nevada casino playing a table or card game with no shield or barrier will have to wear a face covering, which also applies to spectators or anyone else within six feet of the game.
Upon entry to any state gaming establishment, guests must be notified that face masks or cloth coverings are available, and they must be provided if requested.
Additionally, when required, licensees must also ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) is utilized by employees.
Casinos in Las Vegas reopened from 4 June, after being forced shut by the COVID-19 pandemic on 17 March. Strict measures were put in place, such as table limits, including three players for blackjack, along with a reduced venue capacity.
