Foxwoods Resort Casino has released its financial results for September 2022. The casino resort reported a total slot revenue of $30.5m during the month.

Foxwoods paid $7.8m of its slot revenue to Connecticut during September to meet the terms of a longstanding agreement between the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and the state. The nation has paid of total of $4.5bn to the state of Connecticut since the agreement was forged in 1993.

Much of September’s success can be attributed to multiple events and sales throughout the casino. Foxwoods held a Labor Day sale, which allowed its guests to buy discounted tickets to see their favorite performers.

Notable artists who have taken the stage included country music star Kelsea Ballerini, ABBA The Concert – A Tribute to Abba, ZZ Top, SERENADE featuring R&B legends Ne-Yo, Musiq Soulchild, and J. Holiday, as well as Little River Band, TKA/K7, George Lamond and comedian Preacher Lawson.

To raise funds and awareness during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Foxwoods put out an invitation for guests to 'Go Gold' and lit up its Fox Tower. 'Go Gold' is a program designed to raise funds to support the family of children who have cancer.

This year marks the resort’s 30-year anniversary. Foxwoods has set up a monthly donation initiative and donated $30,000 to the Native American Rights Fund. The organization provides legal aid to Indian tribes and supports other organizations and individuals throughout the country.

The casino resort said this month’s donation was “a thank you to the community that has supported Foxwoods throughout its 30 years.”
