Attendance at G2E 2022 in Las Vegas nearly returned to pre-pandemic levels this week. Close to 25,000 people, including global gaming professionals, suppliers and operators, stopped by The Venetian Expo during the event.
The Global Gaming Awards Las Vegas also took place this week, honouring the best and highest-performing companies within the industry.
Total turnout for this year fell short of 2019’s attendance by about 2,000 and almost doubled the number who gathered for the expo in 2021.
AGA President and CEO Bill Miller said: “Our industry is experiencing record-setting growth because of the innovation and technology that is fueling our entertainment offerings.
“After leading the return of tradeshows to Las Vegas last year, G2E 2022’s pre-pandemic atmosphere is a milestone for our industry and a testament to our collective excitement around gaming’s future.”
This year’s G2E has featured education sessions, networking events, product exhibitions and debuts. More than 350 exhibitors and other participating companies attended G2E 2022, surpassing last year’s total by 42%.
The event held more than 80 education sessions, covering industry trends and the latest ideas. Six keynote speakers led the discussions this year, which Gaming America has covered in-depth.
G2E Event Vice President Korbi Carrison said she was pleased to see such a large turnout and was optimistic about the future of the industry.
She commented: “It was fantastic to bring the full global gaming community back together to reconnect and drive business. The energy and excitement at this year’s show announced that gaming is all the way back and made it the most impactful G2E yet.”
Plans for G2E 2023 are already underway. It will be held at The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas from October 9 to October 12, 2023.
