The charity event will raise funds for aid those affected by breast cancer.

Americas Cardroom (ACR) has announced it will support ACR Team Pro Katie Lindsay to raise money for breast cancer research, during a one-day charity tournament event on October 12.

Along with supporting the event, the company will donate $20,000 to the United Breast Cancer Foundation.

Female players can receive a credit of $55 when signing up to compete in the tournament, which covers the event’s entry fee. Funds raised will be allocated to individuals and families affected by breast cancer through targeted support and through community service measures.

ACR Team Pro Katie Lindsay said: "I’m so happy to be able to support the United Breast Cancer Foundation thanks to the help of my friends and ACR. I love that they offer holistic approaches to healing and helping as many cancer survivors as possible.”

YouTube Influencer Nikki Limo will host a live stream during the tournament. Limo will discuss the importance of early detection through breast self-examinations. Confirmed guests for the program include reality TV star Trishelle Cannatella and Team Pro Ana Marquez.

Americas Cardroom Head of Sponsorship at Americas Mel Moser said breast cancer statistics for women in the US were a motivation for the company to get involved and offer support.

Moser commented: “Statistics say that close to 300,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in the US this year alone. ACR wants to help change this statistic and alleviate the suffering that accompanies it.

“We are happy to support this tournament and think it will be a great event, and are excited for people to have fun while raising money for an excellent cause.”
