A recent study into online gambling content streaming habits, which was conducted by OnlineCasinoSpot.ca, has yielded results that surprised research experts. The Canadian website service interviewed 25,000 viewers during a study conducted from March 1 through September 1.
Prior to collecting the data, experts assumed those with more free time and “less serious” professions would spend more time online watching streams.
Survey results revealed that out of the total number of slot streams analyzed, 58% of them were from women and 42% came from men. Prior to these findings, the assumption was that men watched online content more than women do.
Evening streams were also more frequent than those watched during the day, according to the study.
OnlineCasinoSpot.ca expert Robert Lewis analyzed the data and explained the differences in results based on career type. He said those who hold “technical” professions are more apt to relax at the end of a workday and spend their time engaging in “less serious” activities.
Lewis said: "It was even more surprising for us to find out that viewers like doctors, educators, lawyers, and engineers follow the broadcasts much more often.
"And people practicing ‘creative’ professions, including musicians, artists, photographers, and the like, hardly watch any streaming sessions."
The website’s finding backed up Lewis’ opinion. The survey reflected that 67% of all streams were viewed by people who hold a “technical” profession when compared to 33% of viewers with jobs in “humanities.”
