Baha Mar, a leading Caribbean integrated casino resort, has released the full lineup of events taking place at The Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival from October 21-23. The event will be headlined by internationally renowned chefs, including Marcus Samuelsson, Daniel Boulud and Dario Cecchini.
Baha Mar is the largest casino in the Caribbean, boasting 1100 electronic games, 119 table games, blackjack, baccarat, poker, craps, roulette and many others. Its sportsbook is operated by William Hill and offers betting on NFL, college football, MLB, baseball, soccer, auto racing, horse racing, hockey, MMA, boxing and more.
The weekend’s events will include intimate chef experiences and interactive cooking demos, artistic exhibitions and workshops, guest chef and artist appearances, exclusive activations and live performances.
Kicking off on Friday, there will be an exclusive sunset welcome – ‘Sundown and Slips’ – which will feature a curated menu from chef Marcus Samuelsson, with a subsequent welcome beach party at Baha Bay Lagoon. An appearance from R&B group Boyz II Men will top off the evening.
Following this welcome, there will be a two-day expo, where guests can enjoy live entertainment and Bahamian hospitality with onstage chef demos from top talent including Carla Hall, Ming Tsai and Tevin Kemp.
Saturday will include a ‘Grand Dine-Around’ special dinner series where guests can choose from one of four specially prepared dishes made by the festival’s participating chefs. The expo will feature artists’ talks about the history of Bahamian art and will showcase two new art exhibitions, including ‘Defying Tropicality’ at the casino’s gallery The Current.
The casino has already brought Las Vegas-style gaming to the Bahamas, and with this weekend event, it will hope to shine a light on Bahamian culture to international visitors.
