Re-opening plans forge ahead in Minnesota and Arizona.

The US is goiing ahead with re-opening plans. Mystic Lake casino in Minnesota, for instance, is set to welcome guests again today. Patrons will have to pass temperature checks when entering the venue and wear masks once inside.

The state’s casinos are allowed to determine individual regulations for properties, but many operators still obey government guidelines. Mystic Lake is said to maintain strict health requirements, such as social distancing, Plexiglas shields and increased surface sanitization.

There will be restrictions when it comes to games as well. Every other slot machine will be shut down, and no more than three people are allowed at blackjack tables. The health of both employees and visitors will be closely monitored.

President and chief executive of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC) Gaming Enterprise Angela Heikes remarked, "We are in a new place and a new time. We'll be dealing with COVID for a very long time."

While some states are slowly re-opening, others are still preparing to greet new guests immenently. Arizona’s Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise (TOGE) announced the re-opening of all four Desert Diamond casinos on June 5. All of its venues are also equipped to ensure the safety of the staff and guests, temperature checks, and masks will be mandatory as well.
