Global Gaming Awards Las Vegas hopefuls are reminded this is the last week to self-nominate.

The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas has provided G2E and the Global Gaming Awards Las Vegas a welcome boost by announcing it will accept reservations from 1 June.

With Las Vegas hotels and casinos closed across the board in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are tentative plans for a gradual reopening – providing social distancing measures are adhered to.

While it is unclear exactly what the situation will be in October (when G2E would be held), prospective attendees hoping G2E takes place, as well as the Global Gaming Awards Las Vegas, will be encouraged by the reopening of the Venetian.

Both G2E and the Global Gaming Awards are hosted at the Sands Expo Convention Center, which is twinned with the Venetian.

The hotel said in a LinkedIn post: "The Venetian Resort will now take reservations for arrivals beginning June 1, when we anticipate opening our doors to the public.

"Upon opening, our guests can expect the amenities of a luxury Las Vegas resort including: a full service casino, more than a dozen restaurants, our fully renovated Venetian pool and multiple retail outlets.

"We look forward to welcoming you soon."

Global Gaming Awards hopefuls are reminded this Sunday is the deadline to self-nominate; fill in the self-nomination form here to enter.
