IMG Arena has expanded its portfolio to offer a NASCAR virtual sports product, after signing a deal with the motorsport sanctioning body.

The virtual product will be created by Leap Gaming and is set to be offered to operators worldwide.

The long-term partnership between NASCAR and IMG Arena will also provide operators the chance to live-stream the NASCAR Cup series for the first time.

The racing series returned on 17 May at Darlington Raceway after a two-month absence because of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the rest of the 2020 season to additionally be available to operators outside of the US and Canada.

IMG Arena executive vice president and MD, Freddie Longe, said: "Adding NASCAR to our client roster is a proud achievement.

"The partnership significantly bolsters our streaming and official virtual sports offering, with a product we expect to be popular in a number of different markets.”

In February, IMG Arena also secured the rights to provide US operators with live streams of select out-of-market National Hockey League (NHL) games.
