PIXBET signs partnership with Grupo Globo for Qatar World Cup

The company becomes the first bookmaker to partner with a World Cup broadcast in Brazil.

PIXBET is known for sponsoring several football clubs in Brazil and the company has now become the first bookmaker to partner with a World Cup broadcast in Brazil, on open television.

The Qatar World Cup takes place in November and December of this year and PIXBET has acquired one of Grupo Globo's sponsorship quotas for the tournament. The brand will begin to be aired along the vignettes of the FIFA World Cup on Globo from August 22nd.

PIXBET Founder Ernildo Santos commented: "Being at the World Cup is a giant step for PIXBET. We are very proud to have reached this level."

PIXBET supports clubs including as Flamengo, Santos, Juventude, Goiás, Cruzeiro, Vasco da Gama, Avaí, América-MG and other associations in the main divisions of the Brazilian Championship.

The company recently announced a partnership with Santos FC to become an official sponsor. Through the next two seasons, PIXBET will have branding across the club's men's and women's professional team uniforms.

Santos FC president Andres Rueda said: "May the arrival of PIXBET coincides with a period of achievements in the fields for Santos FC. We are very happy to have this partnership signed for two seasons and that it is a winning union. Welcome, PIXBET."

The agreement was carried out by Wolff Sports, one of the largest sports marketing agencies in the country of Brazil.

Wolff Sports Managing Partner Fábio Wolff added: "It is an immeasurable happiness to close another master sponsorship with a dear club like Santos Futbol Club. It is the beginning of a long journey of planning and activations between PIXBET, an important client in the house and the club."

The focus of the sponsorship is aimed at the development of marketing actions and activations.
