Operations at seven properties in Louisiana and Mississippi will resume from 20 May, with the reopening of Delta Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel, Evangeline Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel and Treasure Chest Casino in Louisiana.
The following day, two Mississippi casinos, IP Casino Resort Spa in Biloxi and Sam’s Hotel & Gambling Hall in Tunica, will reopen.
Boyd Gaming’s additional facilities in Louisiana are on course to reopen, with Amelia Belle Casino and Sam’s Town Shreveport set to resume operations the following week.
The reopening of casinos in both states is pending final regulatory approval; but once approved, they will be the first Boyd Gaming casinos to reopen following the closure of the operator’s properties in mid-March.
All the operator’s casinos will adopt ‘Boyd Clean’ protocols, aimed at protecting employees and customers, which include social distancing, mandatory face coverings and temperature checks.
Boyd Gaming CEO and President Keith Smith said: "As we begin the process of reopening our properties nationwide, the health and safety of our customers, our team members and our communities will be our highest priority."
