Eldorado Resorts will resume the operation of three casinos in Louisiana, after the state relaxed lockdown measures relating to COVID-19.
Last week, governor John Bel Edwards announced the state would be entering into phase one of its ‘Roadmap to a Resilient Louisiana’ from 15 May, with the stay at home order lifted and a number of businesses able to reopen with strict social distancing measures.
As a result, operations will reopen at Isle of Capri Lake Charles, Belle of Baton Rouge and Eldorado Shreveport, from midday 18 May.
Eldorado will implement the Louisiana Gaming Control Board’s regulations, which limit gaming positions to 50% of prior levels, at just 25% of facility capacity; casinos in the state had been shut since 17 March.
The casinos will adhere to strict social distancing measures and enhanced sanitation, while all employees must wear masks, and tables and machines will be spaced out.
Eldorado Resorts COO and president Anthony Carano said: "As we resume operations at our properties, the health and safety of our team members and guests is our number one priority.
"We have been working very hard over the last two months to prepare for the reopening of our casinos, and we look forward to providing the outstanding service and hospitality experiences Eldorado is known for in a safe manner."
