Following the climax of the World Series Of Poker (WSOP) 2022 on July 19th, the prestigious tournament remains in action throughout the rest of the year. The WSOP Europe is set to kick off in the Czech Republic from October 26-November 16, with the main event starting on November 11.
The WSOP Circuit (WSOP-C) will begin its international run at King’s Resort in Czechia with ten confirmed stops scheduled to date and more stops to be announced. In addition to earning a spot in the invitation-only ‘Tournament of Champions’ event at the 2023 WSOP in Las Vegas, each champion from the live or online circuit events will receive a WSOP gold ring.
King’s Resort owner Leon Tsoukernik commented: “We’re very excited to host the biggest and most prestigious tournament series with the biggest guarantees in Europe without any limitations and struggles of the past two years.
“All travel restrictions for players coming from the US have been lifted. We’re all set to deliver first-class service and hospitality for all poker players at King’s.”
WSOP SVP and Executive Director Ty Stewart shared Tsoukernik's enthusiasm for the Circuit’s international reach. He said: “The WSOP is ready to go international once again. Poker is bigger than ever and there has been a recent run of international champions in our main events.
“We’re excited to bring the once-in-a-lifetime poker experiences of the WSOP-C and WSOP Europe back to transcontinental players.”
WSOP Europe has seen a rise in acclaim in recent years. In 2021, a new attendance record for the WSOP Europe main event was achieved as 688 entries created a prize pool of $6,675,805, surpassing the previous record by 95 entries.
