The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi’s Four Winds Casinos in South Bend, Indiana will be hosting a job fair on July 20 from noon to 4pm. The job fair is open to those who are 18 years and older.
The casino will be filling both full-time and part-time jobs. Positions available include beverage servers, barbacks, bartenders, cashier services representatives, cooks, dishwashers, food attendants, food servers, kitchen utility, casino housekeepers, table games dealers, maintenance engineers, valet, slot floor, gaming technicians, security and surveillance operators. Applicants will have access to immediate hiring and a $500 sign-on bonus for select locations.
Four Winds will offer six-week paid training starting in August for those who are interested in working as table game dealers. Those who attend the training will be paid $15 an hour. Those hired at the end of training will receive a $2,000 graduation bonus that will be paid out in $500 installments during their first six months of employment.
The casino will provide a complimentary meal during the job fair. Those who attend will also be eligible to win various prizes, including gas cards, gift cards and tickets to a South Bend Cubs game.
The job fair is in support of an expansion project at the Four Winds. The casino has added close to 350 construction jobs. Construction is scheduled to be completed by the first quarter of next year. Once finished, an additional 350 to 400 new jobs will be available.
The new facility will be home to an expanded gaming floor, a spa, a convention area with a ballroom and meeting space, a cafe, an outdoor swimming pool and terraces, as well as 317 hotel rooms and 83 suites.
