The innovative gaming cabinet was tested by patrons of Yaamava’ Resort & Casino.

International Game Technology (IGT) launched its DiamondRS mechanical reel, marking a pivotal moment in the company’s step towards next generation gaming on cabinet machines. Yamaava’ Resort & Casino in Highland, California was among the first venues to test this new range from IGT.

Yaamava' Resort & Casino Chief Operating Officer Kenji Hall commented: “We are honored to be one of the first casinos worldwide to offer IGT's DiamondRS cabinet. IGT continues to be a leader in this field, and this partnership allows us to provide a best-in-class experience for our valued customers."

The DiamondRS cabinet retains many of the design elements and mechanical reel components that first drove the success of IGT’s reputed S2000 and S3000 slot machines.

The DiamondRS cabinet features a three-reel configuration which has been enhanced with contemporary IGT Diamond Glass transmissive reel technology. This integrates transparent video overlays with mechanicals reels, which lets the cabinet host multiple playline configurations.

The video screen is a 32 inch ultra-high-definition LCD screen with a 23-inch high-definition main monitor. The monitor has multi-touch screen touch capabilities. In order to elevate the experience, the dynamic player panel includes an easily readable panel and an ergonomic button deck design.

Additional benefits of the DiamondRS include an inductive wireless phone charger, a USB charging port and intelligent cabinet lighting which flashes with vibrant colors when a player wins.

IGT has supplied the DiamondRS with an extensive content library full of new renditions of its legacy themes. In some cases, player-favorite themes have been combined to introduce exciting new titles such as Pinball Double Gold, and Red Hot Tamales!

IGT Chief Operating Officer Nick Khin says: “The launch of the DiamondRS cabinet continues IGT's decades-long reign in the mechanical reel segment with classic DNA enhanced by the industry-first innovation of Diamond Glass technology."
