The charitable digital games company has funded over 54,000 NFOs.

Golden Hearts Games (GHG), a groundbreaking digital games company dedicated to charity, has announced over $10m in donations since its launch in August 2020.

GHG players can buy virtual currency known as 'Coins' that they use to play any of the company's internet and mobile games. A percentage of the players purchase is then donated to a charitable cause of their choice.

Over 54,000 non-for-profit organizations (NFOs) in the US have been granted funding by the Boston-based charity to date.

A gambling aspect is still heavily involved, as players win real cash which they can keep. All GHG donations flow into donor-advised funds which facilitates grants, taken after player prize allocation, to multiple player-selected charities.

GHG offers regular bingo games and slots with welcome bonuses to attract new customers. Unlike most betting companies, there is no wagering requirement tied into this welcome bonus, no deadline for use and no expiration date.

GHG CEO and co-founder Steve Kane said: "We're immensely proud to be helping tens of thousands of charities in every single state, from small local churches, homeless shelters and animal rescues to large nonprofit organizations.

"The generosity of our player community is truly inspiring. I'm happy Golden Hearts Games can provide a new kind of digital entertainment experience that allows people to give back to their communities while doing what they already love: having fun playing games on their computers and phones and winning cash prizes."

Golden Hearts Games has also invited NFOs to join its “Philanthropic Partner Coalition", which offers additional avenues for boosting funding for charities through GHGs games. The coalition boasts over 90 organizations including St. Jude Children's Hospital and The Boys and Girls Club of Atlantic City, among many other charitable companies.
