Eric Conrad named Sportradar’s Managing Director North America

He steps into the role with more than 20 years of media experience.

Sportradar has appointed Eric Conrad to serve as its Managing Director, Strategic Partnerships & Content, North America. This is a newly created company role.

In his new position, Conrad will report directly to the company’s Chief Commercial Officer Eduard Blonk. Conrad will lead the US Sports Content and Partnerships (SCP) team, which has established company partnerships with the NHL, NBA and MLB.

His other responsibilities include working with the company’s existing betting and media partners to improve their commercial returns. He will also work to establish new partnerships that will aid the company in its growth strategy.

Sportradar CCO Eduard Blonk commented: “Eric joins Sportradar at a time of rapid growth for the North American market. Eric has the leadership track record and experience we believe are critical to lead the regional SCP team, including the ability to forge additional partnerships, a strong focus on value creation with the sports fan in the center, and a focus on delivering value to our customers.” 

Conrad brings more than two decades of transactional sports rights experience to his new position. Prior to his time at Sportradar, he served as the Executive Vice President, Sports Programming and Acquisitions for Univision.

He also spent time working for ESPN as a part of the network’s programing and acquisition team.

Sportradar was founded in 2001. The global sports technology company services sports betting operators, sports federations, news media, and consumer platforms.

Its Sportradar Integrity Services subsidiary supplies sports integrity solutions to more than 150 sports federations, leagues, law enforcement and state authorities.
