Specifics on its four transformation projects will be announced on June 14.

The Plaza Hotel & Casino has made plans to announce the details of four large projects to renovate its Main Street façade. The casino will release project specifics at a news conference and following celebration on June 14, 2022.

The transformation project will include updating all of the Plaza’s Main Street façade, along with its iconic dome, and will combine the two into a unified destination for gaming, dining and cocktails.

The Plaza will welcome several prominent city figures to next week’s unveiling, including the current Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman, her husband, former Las Vegas Mayor and reputed mob attorney Oscar Goodman, and slot machine social influencer Brian Christopher. Other notable guests will also be in attendance.

Guests will be able to enjoy refreshments that represent the new venues during the event.

The four projects on the table are scheduled to begin later this month.

The Plaza Hotel & Casino opened in 1971 and is located in the center of downtown Las Vegas. The casino’s décor marries modern style with a vintage Rat Pack vibe.

Plaza Hotel & Casino was built on the original Las Vegas railroad depot’s site. It is comprised of 1,000 rooms and suites, a classic Vegas showroom, downtown Vegas’ only bingo hall, as well as 30,000 square feet meeting space designed as a refurbished ballroom.

The facility also has the Plaza Core Arena where larger events are hosted. The Plaza Core Arena is the only equestrian and multipurpose facility in downtown Las Vegas.

The destination celebrated its 50-year anniversary in 2021.
