A number of marquee events to happen in the coming months.

Memorial Day is upon us and, with that, summer is upon us. Across the nation, millions will be congregating in revelry to celebrate the turning of the seasons. On the Jersey Shore, at the gambling mecca of Atlantic City, things are no different.

Taken altogether, the seaside destination may seem to be going through something of a miniature renaissance.

Among the highlights that are coming to the city in the coming months are such events as the grand re-opening of Bally’s Atlantic City. Its latest iteration will have 750 newly-renovated rooms, new games, and a 360-degree rotating bar.

This newly-minted Bally’s will be joined by Ocean Casino Resorts, which has just this week announced that its $85m refurbishment will be coming live over the course of the summer.

And at Caesars Atlantic City, famed British chef Gordon Ramsay and sushi maven Nobu Matsuhisa will both be opening a location this summer.

This weekend specifically will see a number of events kick off the summer.

At Borgata, there will be the opening of its beer garden and outdoor pool. Additionally, at the hotel will be showing performance by an eclectic assortment of performers, including Primus, the Struts and the Boxmasters, while at Ocean Casino Resorts there will be a party to celebrate its Beach Ball Drop, which is done annually at this time.

Commenting on these events, and about the commencement of what will be a busy summer, President of the Casino Association of New Jersey Joe Lupo had the following to say: “We are excited to kick off a strong summer season this Memorial Day Weekend, welcoming visitors to enjoy all our city has to offer, from premier gaming to first-class dining and entertainment.

“The casino industry is committed to the future of Atlantic City, and, through our combined efforts, we are revitalizing this beautiful destination resort.”
