IT development is the core of his mission.

FanDuel Group is welcoming a new member to its senior leadership team: Andrew Sheh, who has been appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Sheh’s remit at the new role will be to oversee multiple aspects of the company’s technology apparatus, including the customer facing engineering and platform development area, overall IT infrastructure, and personnel.

He brings to the role over two decades of experience in a number of relevant fields, among these being the design of technology strategies across large organizations and the development of globally scalable platforms.

Prior to the role at FanDuel, Sheh worked at Compass, the real estate company known as being the first end-to-end platform for agents and clients. While in the employ of Compass, he oversaw no fewer than 500 engineers as they covered data, marketing technology, payments, advertising, AI/ML and video.

Among his roles prior to Compass were CTO of Remine, a Director at CEB, Technical Lead at Palantir Technologies, and a Senior Member of Sandia National Laboratories’ technical staff.

Group President and CEO Amy Howe commented on the new arrival to her team: “FanDuel’s consistent focus on technology that drives innovation has been the fuel to our industry leading performance. I am confident that Andrew has the experience and vision to help us continue to extend that advantage into the future.”

In terms of education, he has a master’s degree in computer science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, which is also where he received a bachelor of science.

In comments, Sheh welcomed the challenges that are set before him: “There is no faster growing and more competitive space in tech than mobile gaming. It is a sector that requires the most innovative solutions to differentiate FanDuel from the competition and I am excited to build FanDuel into the leading gaming platform in the world.”
