BetMakers Technology Group, Darby Development and the New Jersey Thoroughbred Horseman Association (NJTHA) have partnered to launch new statewide service. The company’s recent aim has been on continuing its US focus by contracting racing content for delivery in New Jersey and by contracting licensed bookmakers to deliver fixed odds racing and other services.
Garden State racing and betting fans will have the option of placing both fixed-odds and pari-mutuel wagers on races at Darby Development’s Monmouth Park through its self-service terminals.
BetMakers and Equibase have powered a new website and fixed-odds betting mobile app that will complement the initial rollout.
The company claims it is also working on their established betting apps with sportsbook operators to launch fixed-odds wagering. It will soon open out-of-state betting on eligible tracks that hold a fixed-odds content distribution agreement with BetMakers’ Global Racing Network division.
BetMakers’ North America CEO Christian Stuart said: “BetMakers could not be prouder to be introducing a new slate of enhancements, including fixed odds betting on racing, to the USA and especially to be doing so with such visionaries as the team at Monmouth Park.”
Stuart went on to discuss the impact fixed-odds wagering will have on the state. He commented: “We believe fixed-odds wagering will not only appeal to our valued racing customers but also has the potential to expand the market to all customers that currently enjoy sports betting, which has grown tremendously across the USA since the repeal of PASPA in 2018.
“The sport of horseracing has a proud tradition but is also able to embrace progress and that is exactly is what we are delivering to Monmouth Park’s racing and betting fans this season.”
BetMakers also recently signed an agreement with Caesars Entertainment to become the exclusive provider of pari-mutuel betting racing services for its Nevada retail sportsbook locations.
